The Sauble Beach XC Ski Club offers some of the
best classic cross country ski trails in Ontario,
as well as a variety of snowshoe trails.

  • We have about 18 km of groomed ski trails and 14 km of snowshoe trails starting from the chalet and running through forest areas east of the Rankin River. Both systems offer loops of various lengths and difficulties. (See Trail Map.)
  • Our Chalet is open on weekends throughout the ski season, where club volunteers offer free hot cider when you finish skiing. The Chalet is open daily during the Christmas Holidays and the March Break, weather permitting.
  • The trails are located 1 km north of Sauble Falls, off the Sauble Falls Pkwy. (See Location Map.)

Saturday March 23

With the spring conditions the chalet will
not be open this weekend.  Trails are open.

Icy Spring Conditions
Snow is crusty on top and quite icy in low areas.
There is no water on the trails yet.
Use Extreme Caution if you venture out.

Wet Spring Conditions
There is a lot of water and bare patches.
Hiking, rather than snowshoeing, on Sandhill, Main
and Deer Circle trails is recommended.

Memberships and day passes available

Day passes are available at the Chalet or Trailhead Lock Box
(Also at Suntrail Outfitters, Hepworth, Thorncrest Outfitters, Southampton, and Fretz's Valu-Mart, Sauble Beach)
